This is the third Rahway Community Meeting. At the first event we discussed "what keeps us up at night." We identified three actionable issues that we can work on as a community: immigration, housing, and healthcare. At our second meeting we asked, "What is the ideal vision for housing/immigration/healthcare in Rahway(your community)" & "How does the ideal vision differ from reality?" After that conversation, we discussed policies, people, and organizing that could help bridge the gap between what we want and what we have. The third Rahway Community Meeting, Thursday, June 12th at 6:30pm, we will research the ideas that we have regarding making a difference in our community, plan on meeting with people who can make positive changes locally, and put our plans into action.
